PPTA Industrial Action Resumed

Kia ora koutou,

Late last night the PPTA executive informed their members that the negotiations this week between the PPTA and the Ministry of Education have not yet reached an agreement. This means that the suspended industrial action, the rostering home of year levels and a strike day, will resume again for the remainder of this term.Once again I empathise with the teachers, families and students with this disruption to students learning.

Confirmed industrial action for the remainder of Term 2:

- Thursday 1 June - Year 12 students to be rostered home

- Tuesday 6 June - Year 10 students to be rostered home

- Thursday 8 June - Year 9 students to be rostered home

- Wednesday 28 June - planned PPTA strike day, all students to remain at home. Supervision by non-PPTA staff members will be available during these days for students if needed. Please report to the front office at the start of the day.

Thank you for your understanding during this time.

noho ora mai,

take care,

Neil Harray
