PPTA Industrial Action Term 2 Dates

PLEASE NOTE ALL Rostering home for remainder of Term 2 has been canceled. The Paid Union Meeting on Tuesday, 27 June is still going ahead. There will be no timetabled classes in the morning of Tuesday, 27 June—arrangements for the afternoon of Tuesday, 27 June to come. (Updated Friday 23 June)

Kia ora koutou,

Once again I am contacting the school community to update you all on the ongoing industrial action taken by the PPTA. Last night the PPTA executive council confirmed the latest offer was rejected by PPTA members. This means that the planned industrial action will take place for the remainder of Term 2 and involves rostering the home of two years groups each day and a paid union meeting on Tuesday morning, 27 June.

Again, I fully empathise with the challenge this will have on some families and the impact on students learning.

Tuesday 13 June - Year 9 and Year 13 students rostered home
Wednesday 14 June - Year 10 and Year 11 students rostered home
Thursday 15 June - Year 12 and Year 13 students rostered home

Week 9

Tuesday 20 June - Year 11 and Year 12 students rostered home
Wednesday 21 June - Year 9 and Year 13 students rostered home
Thursday 22 June - Year 10 and Year 11 students rostered home

Week 10

Tuesday 27 June - Year 9 and Year 10 students rostered home
Wednesday 28 June - Year 11 and Year 12 students rostered home

PPTA have given notice for a Paid Union meeting to be held on Tuesday 27 June. We are looking what options might be available for part of the day and will inform the community as soon as possible.

Kia pai tō mutunga wiki, have a nice weekend,

Neil Harray
