Stage Challenge assembly. This is the first time that cultural student leaders have received badges to wear on their school blazers. We could not be prouder! Camila was nominated for a Stage Challenge Leadership Award in Choreography and Directing.

Some members of Stage Challenge with some help from the Te Aroha College Student Council raised funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We held a dance, a mufti day, a grocery raffle and a mufti day. This money, $1485, will go toward a wish for a deserving patient.

Our performance starred Teagan Gorman, the girl with Cancer, and her boyfriend, Lewis Marshall. Thank you to teacher, Ken Rowe, for helping Teagan and Lewis towards a stunning and emotional performance.

We have not forgotten all the other students (especially the cast) who worked tirelessly fitting in rehearsals for nearly four months around part-time jobs, academics and sporting endeavours. The crew are also a vital component. They come on board toward the end of the process to paint and design set, design hair and apply make-up, move the set and organise lighting. 54 students were involved overall.

Now that the dust has settled, we still bathe in the warm glow of the aftermath of Stage Challenge, having had a photo and article on the front page of the Piako Post. We now turn our attention to Stage Challenge 2017.
