English NCEA Level Three

English NCEA Level Three - English - Curriculum - Te Aroha College

In year 13, students have already built up the skills necessary to critically analyse different text types and can expand and apply this knowledge to a global context. English is not compulsory at year 13, but it is strongly recommended.

At level 3, students may choose a fully internal programme of 16 internally assessed credits.  They can also choose to take part in the academic programme, which will see them sit NCEA external examinations as well, gaining up to 12 external credits. Students can also decide to sit Scholarship English this year.
