Every aspect of our lives - food, shelter, health care, transport, communications, entertainment, our environment – uses constantly evolving and ever-changing technology. New Zealand has an impressive history of innovation in technology. Burt Munro, John Britten, Alan Gibbs and Weta Digital are just some of the many New Zealanders who have contributed to a history richly endowed with diverse technological thinking.

New Zealand needs an ever-increasing range of skilled people in widely differing fields of technology to remain globally competitive. Te Aroha College provides a sound foundation for learning and thinking in Technology so our students can experience a range of selected ‘current’ technological disciplines. The College Technology faculty is flourishing and supports customised programs that permit student centred learning tailored to meet individual student needs.
